In Psalms 139: 7 David asks a question, “Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? He continues speaking to the LORD saying, “If I ascend into heaven You were there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the outermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and you’re right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the dark shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; Indeed the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both of alike to You. ” (Psalm 139:7-12 NKJV)
David, in the verses of Psalm 139:7-12, reminds me of a child hiding from place to place asking the Father, ” Can You still see me?” “Can You find me, now?” David runs in his mind to what seems to be the most unlikely places for the LORD to be; only to realize God is still, in fact, there. He still sees David. God can still find him.
Meditate on Psalm 139 this week. Meditate on God’s omnipresence and omnipotence.
